Coach With Us!

We are so thankful to all our parents/guardians who volunteer to coach! If you are interested in coaching, we provide all necessary training.

Start off easy and volunteer with the U4/U6 Timbits… Parent coaches simply show up to practice with runners and an enthusiastic attitude. Our Timbits coordinators will plan each week’s session, set up and/or help with the set-up of each activity as necessary. Your job is to guide the children through each activity and have some fun with the little ones. Nothing is better than getting “Hi Coach!” greetings around town from your team kids.

Or volunteer to coach a house league or travel league team. Our head coach will provide you with a plan for each week’s practices or you can design your own! If you would like to brush up on your coaching skills and attend a coaching seminar, we can help with course fees and mileage.

If you have any further questions, please contact the Head Coach or any member of the executive.

In addition to the Volunteer requirements, coaches for our travel teams will also need to complete the Respect in Sport for Active Leaders Program. From Ontario Soccer:

“The Respect in Sport Program assists coaches, referees, trainers and managers with identifying and dealing with abuse, neglect, harassment and bullying in sport. All competitive (Rep) coaches must take the Respect in Sport Program, and it is highly suggested for recreational (House League) coaches.”
