U8 Programs

BMSC offers two programs for children born in 2011 and 2010. A Timbits house league and a travelling team that particpates in the Inter-County Soccer League.

Timbits U8 (House League)
Location: Thornbury
Time: Tuesdays 6-7 pm
Dates: May 29, 2018 – July 31, 2018

This co-ed 10 week program, sponsored by Tim Hortons, starts May 29, 2018 and ends July 31, 2018 . Children are divided into teams and work on skills and play games on U8 regulation size fields. The program focus is on fun, skill development and learning the game. We will require parent volunteers to “coach” these small teams through their stations, no special training is required, all necessary instruction will be provided and your time commitment is simply the hour that your child is on the field. Tim Hortons will supply all players with a jersey, shorts, socks and ball.  Players are to provide their own cleats and shin guards, also all families are assigned (a) snack week(s). Caregivers are expected to remain on the field with their child at all times. This is not a drop-off program.

U8 Inter-County Soccer League

Practice Location: Thornbury
Practice Time: Wednesdays 7-8 pm
Game Time: Thursday 7-8 pm
Dates: late May – mid August
Cost: $105

This co-ed program starts practising in May and Inter-County Soccer League games begin after Victoria Day.  Teams will participate in 10 week game schedule with approximately half being home games. Other clubs in this league are (subject to change): Mount Forest/Holstein, Durham, Markdale and Hanover. A team jersey will be provided to the player for use during the duration of the season and must be returned at the conclusion of the season (deposit required). Players must provide soccer cleats, socks, black shorts & shin guards. Caregivers are expected to remain on the field with their child at all times. This is not a drop-off program.

Full Rate (after March 15, 2018): $105

Please note that all programs/locations are dependent on enrollment. Additionally, all our programs are volunteer run, so sufficient volunteers are also required for all programs.
